Hab die Liste gerade mal „überflogen“ und mindestens 22 Fünfer entdeckt. Dazu noch etliche Alben mit Wertungen von ****1/2 und ****. Allerdings auch einige komplett unbekannte (sowohl Interpreten als auch Alben). Deine „co“ Nummer 1 von Gong hast du mir, soweit ich weiß, mal als Sicherungskopie geschickt. Werde ich am WE nochmal reinhören. Etwas überraschend fand ich, das bei der Band Focus „Moving Waves“ als bestes Album durchgeht. Mehr dann in den nächsten Tagen.

Das sieht zunächst nach wenig aus, aber viele weitere Platten aus Deiner Liste schätze ich auch sehr, nur sind es eben keine 5-Sterner. Besonders freut mich die deutliche Präsenz von Caravan. Eine Band, die ich ebenfalls sehr mag, auch wenn keines ihrer Alben zu meinen großen Favoriten gehört. Die Nennung von Jeavestone freut mich ebenfalls. Eine tolle finnische Band, die leider nicht sehr bekannt ist.
Living In The Past von Jethro Tull ist ja kein reguläres Album, sondern eine Compilation, eine Art frühe Best of LP. Ich würde das Album deshalb nicht listen, aber ich weiß nicht, ob das hier ein offizielles Ausschlusskriterium ist.

mikko@reimarius Living In The Past von Jethro Tull ist ja kein reguläres Album, sondern eine Compilation, eine Art frühe Best of LP. Ich würde das Album deshalb nicht listen, aber ich weiß nicht, ob das hier ein offizielles Ausschlusskriterium ist. Ansonsten nehme ich Deine Liste als Anregung, die eine oder andere Platte mal wieder aufzulegen.

Ich kenne die Diskussionen. Da es mein Kennenlernalbum war und auch einige neue Sachen, meine 4 Stück darunter sind, drücke ich bei mir die Augen zu. Bei hart auf hart, null Problem gehts Album raus. – Als Anregung bekanntes wieder aufzulegen, aber gerade auch unbekannte Platten, „Mensch der hört doch auch diese ganz toll, dann  kann der doch gar nicht so verkehrt liegen“ zu probieren, dienen für mich diese Listen.

Und schon wieder eine Liste mit dem großen „It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back“, in der man sonst wenig von Hip Hop-Affinität erkennen kann. Mich würde interessieren, was Du an dem Werk so großartig findest, was dir bei anderen LPs aus diesem Eck abgeht. Weniger, weil ich selbst endlich die Augen bzw. die Ohren geöffnet bekommen möchte, sondern weil mich interessiert, wie das Album zum Rest deiner Liste passt.

Hand aufs Herz: Sind viele gute Sachen dabei. Gut ein Fünftel steht hier auch im Schrank, wirklich verkehrt ist davon nichts. In der Top100 hätten wir immerhin eine Überschneidung.

Btw: „Easter“ wirklich vor „Horses“? Das überrascht mich schon etwas. Und „Fugazi“ so weit vorne drin, aber das Marillion Debut nicht?
