talkinghead2 Für mich kam der große Break anlässlich einer Sylt-Reise 1979 mit zwei gleichaltrigen Freunden. Einer davon hatte einen ganzen Sack voll mit Cassetten mit Punk und Wave dabei, die wir den ganzen Urlaub hörten.

Wäre für mich ein Grund gewesen, die Freunschaft aufzukündigen.

Ich wäre Freund gewesen und hätte jeden Tag Hansa oder Karlsquell in Dosen/Paletten angeschleppt.

@gipetto @ klausk Raw Power ist drin, Fun House – das nicht nur mein Favorit der Stooges ist, sondern in meinen Top 3-Alben logiert – leider nicht. Übersehen oder Absicht? Sympathisch finde ich schon fast, dass „Heroes“ nicht zu finden ist. Abgesehen vom großartigen Sense Of Doubt und mit Einschränkungen dem Titeltrack gibt mir das Album nämlich überhaupt nichts – ganz im Gegensatz zum von Dir gelisteten Vorgänger Low, den ich für Bowies bestes Album halte. Toll auch, dass das unterschätzte Young Americans enthalten ist. Saw Delight von Can ist gelistet, Tago Mago und Ege Bamyasi jedoch nicht. Auch das ist wohl eher ungewöhnlich. Schätze, dass Du mit dem erstgenannten Album etwas besonderes verbindest. Und: Kannst Du Dich denn wirklich gar nicht für Kraftwerk erwärmen?

Die Stooges, ja, waren in den 70ern kein Thema für mich. Iggy Pop habe ich in den 80ern ganz gerne gehört, hatte einige Maxi-Singles. Meine liebe Kollegin Christa, die vor neun Jahren viel zu früh verstorben und großer Stooges und Iggy Pop Fan gewesen ist, würde mich jetzt rügen, wenn ich sage, dass mir die Band nie wirklich viel bedeutet hat. Die 69er Stooges habe ich mit ***1/2 gelistet. Die Fun House ist mir im Gedränge wahrscheinlich durchgegangen.   Mit Can bin ich bereits als 14/15 jähriger in musikalische Berührung gekommen. Das hat zwar meinen Horizont für Krautrock weit geöffnet, aber Can nicht ganz nach oben gespült. Saw Delight spricht mich musikalisch einfach am meisten an. Und Kraftwerk: Electropop und Synthiepop waren noch nie mein Ding. An einigen Kraftwerk-Stücken kam man ja nicht vorbei, kann ich mir auch anhören. Unbestreitbar haben Kraftwerk aber viel Pionierarbeit auf dem Gebiet der elektronischen Populärmusik geleistet.

Das will und kann ich natürlich so nicht bestätigen. Andererseits ist mir dieses Phänomen durchaus bekannt. Habe es ansatzweise auch bei der Erstellung meines Top 90 Songrankings von Wishbone Ash so empfunden. Aber zurück zu meiner Top 775: auch die hinteren Platzierungen sind mit ****- ausgestattet. Not so bad.

beatgenrollIch stelle aber die Liste vom Klaus nicht auf den Kopf. Gelobt hast Du die Liste keineswegs. Aber gut ist.

Siehste, in Augsburg sagt man „net gschimpft, ist globt gnug“…und wenn ich eine Liste auf den Kopf gestellt genauso gut finde wie ursprünglich, sagt das nun was genau aus? Genau, dass sie von beiden Seiten betrachtet gut ist. Meine Güte, was für ein Verriss! Aber wenn man nicht mit den gewohnten Phrasen kommt, scheinst du das Glas sofort halb leer zu sehen und nur Negatives zu unterstellen.

Hier auch so.

Und den Rest unterschreibe ich auch, vieles in der Liste von Klaus hat bei mir 5 Sterne, da bin ich immer grosszügig beim Werfen. Ganz ohne Rankings oder Listen. Man muss bei den Phrasen schon aufpassen, musste ich auch hier lernen.

pipe-bowl @ klausk: Welch eine Fleißarbeit. Die mich animiert hat, meine vorhandene Top 100 der Dekade auch signifikant zu erweitern. Zu Deiner Liste lässt sich im Vergleich sagen, dass ich von Deinen 775 gelisteten Alben aktuell 313 Alben besitze. Über die Rangfolge ließe sich an vielen Stellen streiten, denn da sind schon einige Auffälligkeiten im Vergleich zu meiner Wahrnehmung drin. Nur so viel: Ich zähle in Deiner großen Liste 29 Meisterwerke und weitere 62 Alben, die ich mit der zweithöchsten Wertung (****1/2) gelistet habe. Ich werde auf eine Top 300 der 70er erweitern. Bis zu Platz 169 war das einfach, da ich diese Plätze aus meiner Gesamtliste herauslösen konnte, die alle Alben, die ich mit ***** und ****1/2 bewertet habe, enthält. Danach musste ich dann in die Jahresrankings. Insgesamt habe ich aus dieser Dekade derzeit 1064 Alben im Regal. Neben den 169 erwähnten Alben folgen danach weitere 418 gute Alben, die ich mit **** bewertet habe. Daraus galt es für die Top 300 die besten 131 Alben zu filtern. Über die bestehenden Jahresrankings, Rankings der einzelnen Acts sowie Track-by-Track-Bewertungen diverser Alben war das dann nicht so schwer/aufwändig, wie ich gedacht hatte. Allerdings habe ich bei 300 Alben dann doch gestoppt. Liste kommt im Laufe des Tages.

Interessante Einblicke in Deine Listenhygiene. Freut mich natürlich sehr, dass Dich meine Dekadenliste zur Erweiterung Deiner eigenen Liste motivieren konnte. So kommt der Thread nochmal so richtig auf Touren.

Klaus, das mit den Stooges, Can und Kraftwerk habe ich auch so erlebt. Bei Iggy fand ich MC5 und andere Proto-Punker geiler, Can habe ich mit Suzuki ca. ’72 mal live gesehen, hat mich nie angefixt und wie bei Dir war mir der Elektro- Teil bei Kraftwerk schon zu Beginn too much. Zu kalt, zu Plastik, zu Maschine. Bis auf „Ruckzuck“, das war im Strob- Licht in der Disco schon ziemlich geil. Mit allem was danach kam, auch den „Hits“, kannste mir jagen.

Absolut, denn ich finde auch dass die ****er Alben nach meinem Empfinden sehr wichtige treue Begleiter sind. B.z.w. tolle neue Alben in den aktuellen Jahresranking.

Das mit der umgekehrten Liste ist auch nur eine andere Art zu sagen „hey, da hinten sind ne Menge Alben“ die ich unter den ersten 50 sehen würde. Z.B. das Rickie Lee Jones Debut, das mich seit Teenager Jahren begleitet und bis heute nichts von seiner Faszination verloren hat.

Mein kleiner Seitenhieb auf Wishbone Ash sei mir hoffentlich verziehen, vielleicht klappts mit mir und WA ja mal im nächsten Leben, wer weiß.

pipe-bowl (Anmerkung: bitte stört Euch nicht an meiner Eigenart, Alben mit aufzunehmen, die zwar nicht in den 70-ern erschienen sind, sondern viel später, die aber Musik aus den 70-ern enthalten. Wenn es doch stört, denkt Euch die Alben einfach weg. Ich möchte einfach nicht, dass diese Alben nirgendwo auftauchen und im Jahr ihres Erscheinens passen sie aus meiner Sicht noch weniger hinein.)

Stören tue ich mich eh an gar nix, mit Interesse gelesen, aber Deine 405 wie ich es kenne ist doch eine Compi aus den 70ern mit Aufnahmen aus den frühen 60ies. Oder wurde der Titel noch einmal für ein Album mit 70er-Aufnahmen genutzt?
