@ragged-glory: „All Kinds of You“ würde auf den folgenden 20-25 Plätzen kommen, allerdings noch hinter dem für mich musikalisch interessanteren „Deafman Glance“. Bei dem hatte ich auch mehr Spaß, es mir zu erschließen und ich finde es schade, dass es nicht so geschätzt wird hier (soweit ich mich erinnern kann) wie die Vorgänger. Beide natürlich sehr hübsch.

Nachtrag: Wie bist du eigentlich ausgerechnet zu „Yeezus“ gekommen?

Nein, nur eine recht lange Reihe von ziemlich lausig gefertigten Bootlegs. Offiziell veröffentlichte Def Jam das Album lediglich auf CD und als Cassette.

Mir gefällt deine Liste auch gut @grievousangel! Mich freut sehr die Nennung der Vaccines und wollte wissen, ob es bei dir aus nostalgischen Gründen diese gute Platzierung hat oder hast du es auch in den letzten Wochen und Monaten nochmal nachgehört und es konnte deinem heutigen Urteil standhalten? Ich mag die Platte wirklich sehr und auch weit mehr als die Nachfolger der Band und bin immer sehr irritiert, dass es bei Allmusic.com am schlechtesten der Band mit **1/2 bewertet wird. Dennoch begegnet einem das Album immer mal wieder in diesem Forum.

Nein, ich habe das Album in den paar Tagen vor der Fertigstellung der Liste noch einmal gehört und beinahe unverändert genossen. Die Nachfolger finde ich auch deutlich schwächer, vom Songmaterial und vom Sound, aber vor allem auch wie Frontmann Justin Hayward-Young seine Stimme einsetzt. Konnte dazu bislang überhaupt keine emotionale Bindung herstellen, eine intelektuelle auch nicht wirklich. Habe übrigens gar nicht bemerkt, dass „What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?“ im Forum gelegentlich genannt wird – ich weiß nur, dass @pinball-wizard das Album ebenfalls sehr schätzt.

@grievousangel: Bei „Yeezus“ ergab sich einfach die Option, es mal mit einem Hip-Hop/Rap-Album zu versuchen, zumal Kanye West als Celebrity/Gossip-Persönlichkeit geradezu nach Aufmerksamkeit schreit. Hatte seinerzeit eigentlich auch vor „Channel Orange“ zu testen.
@atom: Ich habe damals bei hhv das clear vinyl-Bootleg gekauft. Bin mit der Pressung zufrieden, die Aufmachung ist natürlich schmal. So gesehen, ist es eine schöne Ironie, dass im Hinblick auf das Cover, die LP-Hülle wie ein CD-Pappschuber wirkt.

Tatsächlich alles per „Handarbeit“. Wie du schon richtig vermutet hast, habe ich aus den einzelnen Jahrgängen zunächst die Fünfer, dann die Viereinhalb- und danach die Viererwertungen gezogen, einiges nochmal gehört und dann versucht alles in Reihenfolge zu bringen. Auf den hinteren Plätzen kann es da sicher noch einige Veränderungen geben. Also bei Damien Rice solltest du vielleicht noch was austesten, das lohnt m.E.

Und versuch doch einfach mal mit so einer Liste anzufangen. Es gibt ja keine „Deadline“.
