Curtis Mayfield ist und bleibt für mich ein Ausnahmekünstler, dem ich schon bald wieder mehr Zeit widmen möchte … alle Aufnahmen nach 1976/1977 bleiben jedoch leider bedeutungslos.

Was ist denn, von den Impressions abgesehen, noch lohnend? „Sweet Exorcist“?

Mit den von Dir gelisteten fünf Alben kennst Du ohnehin seine besten … meiner Meinung nach. „Sweet Exorcist“ muß man nicht haben/kennen (der Titeltrack und „Kung Fu“ mal ausgenommen). So verhält es sich auch mit dem restlichen Output von Curtis Mayfield … klasse Tracks wie „Short Eyes“, „Cannot Find A Way“ oder auch „Do Do Wap Is Strong In Here“ sind eben lose auf eher mittelprächtigen Alben vertreten … zu den genannten fünf Alben also idealerweise noch eine „Very Best“ oder sonstige Compilation.

„Curtis/Live“ ist selbstverständlich auch noch zu empfehlen!
