Die „Bootleg Vol. 1: Personal File“ hatte ich mir als CD besorgt, sehr gute Auswahl, kann ich nur empfehlen, bei Vol. 2 stört, wie bullitt schon schrieb, die leider teilweise mehr als mäßige Aufnahmequalität.

Da ich das Booklet grade nicht zur Hand habe laut Wiki:
„Personal File ist ein Doppel-Album, das aus einer Zusammenstellung privater Aufnahmen von Johnny Cash aus der Zeit zwischen 1973 und 1982 besteht, die nach seinem Tod gefunden worden waren.“
Bei der Bootleg Vol. 2 handelt es sich um Liveaufnahmen aus den Fünfzigern und Sechzigern zählt Discogs auf.

Absolut. Neben „Out Among The Stars“ und „American Recordings VI“ die beste Veröffentlichung nach seinem Tod.

Absolut. Neben „Out Among The Stars“ und „American Recordings VI“ die beste Veröffentlichung nach seinem Tod.
Stimmt, die beiden sind auch sehr sehr gut, muß ich dringend auch mal wieder hören.

I am not exaggerating. Johnny comes alive. He is quite literally taken by the spirit, as the years fall away and he begins to glow, growing powerful and possessed by some kind of thing and when he starts singing, his beautiful voice just runs right through me like a celestial force and I start singing and I’m sounding all right, and I’m deeply moved, you know, I’ve got tears in my eyes, and June is over there swaying and smiling and praising Jesus, and Johnny is singing his heart out in his dark, measured style, and it’s one of those moments that just imprints itself upon your very soul.
