Westend ohne Libertines

The Libertines werden sich nicht auflösen, so ein offizielles Statement der Band. Allerdings haben sie alle Shows gecancelt, die nach dem kommenden Wochenende geplant waren, darunter ihren Auftritt beim VISIONS Westend.
Seit letzter Woche sorgten The Libertines für steten Gesprächsstoff in den Gerüchteküchen dieser Welt (vgl. News vom 18. Juni), nun hat die Band ein offizielles Statement veröffentlicht, das sich folgendermaßen liest:
„The Libertines will be going ahead with their UK tour even though singer / guitarist Peter Doherty will not appear at the shows. The band were not comfortable performing with Peter out of concern for his health and personal wellbeing and decided to play the European / UK shows without him. They love him very much and support him 100% and are totally behind him. They just want him to get well again and be able to play with them. They are confident this will all be sorted out very soon and the four of them will be able to perform together in the very near future. Unfortunately they have decided to cancel ALL dates after their Glastonbury date until further notice.“
