Ich hab eben ein eher bizarres Dokument gelesen, Clora Bryant interviewt Melba Liston 1996, hier, klingt auf dem Papier super… schon im Interview mit Isoardi vier Jahre frueher merkt man aber, dass Liston nicht mehr ganz fit ist, gerade wenn man es sich anhoert und nicht nur liest (geht hier, die Passage von der wir es gestern hatten ist bei Minute 36 von „I Side 2“), aber Isoardi macht seine Arbeit schon ganz gut… wahllos rausgegriffen… nicht, dass es nicht interessant waere, aber
Bryant: Did you ever go to Cuba with Dizzy?
Liston: No, I don’t think so. I got some work, but we weren’t together.
Bryant: Where did you go in South America?
Liston: South of there. Not Cuba
Bryant: That was Wynton Kelly and that group? Ernie Henry. You did a record with Ernie Henry, right? Good alto player.
Liston: Yeah. Wynton’s a fine pianist. Oh dear. I think we were – I was supposed to marry him, but he died over there in Canada or somewhere.
Bryant: Yeah, he was a nice person. Last time I saw him he was pianist for Dinah Washington. Oh yeah – how was that? How was Dinah to work with? She gave you no problems.
Liston: No. Everybody – no problems. Nobody.
