Gibt es Empfehlungen für Aufnahmen? auch an @.soulpope?
Oistrach/Rostropovich/Richter mit Karajan?
Die ist wirklich toll, auf jeden Fall! Ich hab sie wenigstens doppelt (in der Box mit Oistachs EMI-Aufmahmen und in der Icon-Box von Richter). Denke, das wäre aus dem Stand auch gleich meine Empfehlung @yaiza – aber schon auch mit Vorbehalt weil Ego-Show … aber irgendwie klappt es halt trotzdem! Fand dazu gerade dies:
Beethoven Triple Concerto: arguably the least successful of any of Beethoven’s mature concertos in the concert hall. It’s one of those pieces that never seems to get a performance that does it justice. Usually, you get po-faced seriousness when a big orchestra and three star names try to out-do each other, as the cello, violin, and piano soloists fight for the limelight. On disc, it hasn’t fared much better, and there’s an infamous Herbert von Karajan recording from 1969 with David Oistrakh on violin, Sviatoslav Richter on piano, and cellist Mstislav Rostropovich: it’s a nadir of gigantic egos trying to trump each other, a bonfire of the vanities from which Karajan and the Berlin Phil still somehow manage to emerge victorious.
(Richter himself said of it: „It’s a dreadful recording and I disown it utterly… Battle lines were drawn up with Karajan and Rostropovich on the one side and Oistrakh and me on the other… Suddenly Karajan decided that everything was fine and that the recording was finished. I demanded an extra take. ‚No, no,‘ he replied, ‚we haven’t got time, we’ve still got to do the photographs.‘ To him, this was more important than the recording. And what a nauseating photograph it is, with him posing artfully and the rest of us grinning like idiots.“)

Was mich halt sehr interessieren würde, ist eine HIP-Aufnahme, meine jüngeren sind allesamt traditionell (zweimal Argerich, mit den Capuçons aus Lugano bzw. aus der Rendez-Vous-Box mit Aufnahmen aus Hamburg 2018 mit Papavrami und Maisky, und zeitlich dazwischen meine Homies unter Zinman mit Bronfman, Shaham und Mork). Ich weiss nicht, ob das KOB auf alten Instrumenten gespielt hätte, vermutlich eine Mischung, Antonini ist da ja nicht dogmatisch, Bezuidenhout hätte wohl sowas wie den alten Blüthner dabei gehabt, den er im Duo mit Gabetta hier spielte (klick) – aber das wäre auf jeden Fall schlank und schnörkellos gewesen. Es gibt da ja auch eine CD aber in für mich wesentlich weniger attraktiven Besetzung, und sie kommt nicht überall so gut weg wie hier – fand ich grad als erste Rezension:

Da bin ich also noch auf der Suche … weiss nicht, ob HM da was geplant hat, die Klavierkonzerte mit Bezuidenhout sind ja, von der ersten CD her zu schliessen, schon eine erfreuliche Sache!
Die Vogt/Tetzlaff2-Aufanhme muss ich mir aber auch mal noch merken, da möchte ich eh etwas mehr, hab von allen dreien praktisch nichts.
