Das mit dem „Küchentisch“ war Steve Earle. In einem Interview soll er gesagt haben: „Townes Van Zandt is the best songwriter in the whole world, and I’ll stand on Bob Dylan’s coffee table, in my cowboy boots, and say that.“ Worauf Townes dann wohl in seiner lakonischen Art – als er davon hörte – nur meinte: „I’ve met Bob Dylan’s bodyguards, and if Steve Earle thinks he can stand on Bob Dylan’s coffee table, he’s sadly mistaken.“
Das wusste ich gar nicht. Da hat der DJ wohl zitiert.
