„Hi Guys,
I had a brilliant time on Sunday and as has been pointed out the performance in the Market Square had nothing to do with reunions or anything else apart from 5 good mates and musos getting up on a stage together and having a laugh.We had always wanted to play the square back in the old days but never got the chance. It was a wonderful wallow in the nostalgia pond for all concerned.Despite rumours we are all actually mates and grown ups as well
I’ve got nothing but respect for H and the boy does a damn good job with the band, long may they continue.
Sunday was an opportunity and we all took it. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it so nothing was said beforehand in the press or on the web sites. It was pure fun for all concerned, nothing else. I think you can tell from our smiles on stage, and for those who were around us all backstage and at the pub it was obvious there was no animosity or anything else apart from 5 old friends having a great laugh together.
Thanks to the Marillo crew for helping out on the day , Lucy for being cool and lovely as always, and of course Mark, Steve, Ian and Pete for being great mates and good sports!
