Bisher hat mich das neue Album von Laura Marling sehr begeistert und auch die Strokes Platte gefällt mir. Hat denn sonst noch jemand Gerry Cinnamons Album „The Bonny“ gehört und kann was dazu schreiben?

Agnes Obel höre ich allerdings erheblich besser, nämlich bei ****1/2

Aber ja, ein ziemlich starkes Jahr bisher. Höre gerade Chuck Prophet via Bandcamp. Der überzeugt auch schon wieder.

Gibt es hier außer Den (und mir) wirklich keinen, der „Muggington Lane End“, das wunderbare Solo-Debütalbum von Lavinia Blackwall (Trembling Bells) auf dem Schirm hat? Die Platte ist verdammt großartig (****1/2) und wäre bei mir momentan #1!

11 der 14 Alben werden in meinem nächsten Ranking, welches ich bis morgen Abend stehen haben sollte, auch auftauchen. Das neue Isbell-Album ist erst diese Woche bei mir aufgeschlagen, hat jetzt drei Durchgänge hinter sich, will aber noch 1 bis 2 Mal gehört werden für eine erste Einordnung. Nur Dein Spitzenreiter (hat leider nicht gezündet) sowie die „Other Lives“ werden den Weg in mein Ranking nicht finden. William Prince und sein Album kenne ich nicht.
