Habe die letzten Tage einige der 90s-Platten von Joyner wieder häufiger gehört, v.a. „Heaven’s Gate“ und „Yesterday Tomorrow And In Between“ (ganz toll, sehr intensiv und mit großartigen Songs), danach gehört wirkt „Out Into The Snow“ geradezu heiter. Großer Mann.

I’m writing new songs. Some of the songs that we’re playing on these house tours will be new songs that I’m going to record soon. Another record for Team Love. We have about half of the record now.

Recorded over a weekend at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts during Joyner’s 2005 residency there, this sat on a shelf for five years but is finally being released on Unread. The LP features half Simon Joyner songs and half Lonnie Methe songs.

Hat denn außer mir jemand die LP dort bestellt? Ich warte seit fast 6 Wochen auf die Platte und seit 4 Tagen auf eine Rückmeldung. Anderswo scheint sie nicht zu bekommen zu sein.
