„Oceans Apart“ ist vor allem soundtechnisch verunglückt…ist aber auch vom Songmaterial die „schwächste“ der Spätphase.

Bei vielen Listen schneidet „Before Hollywood“ zu schlecht ab -meiner Empfindung nach. Ich liebe diese als Trio sparsam arrangierten und noch kantigen Songs, die bereits schon vieles vorweg nehmen was später dann noch folgen sollte…aber durch diese Sparsamkeit einen ganz besonderen Stellenwert in ihrer Diskographie einnimmt.

Ich liebe dieses Album auch. Klar, braucht es eine Weile, bis es sich einem erschließt. Aber dann macht das Album richtig Spaß. Musste auch bei Before Hollywood einige Tracks aus meiner Top20 rauslassen, obwohl ich sie gerne drin gehabt hätte.
