Da „Tracks“ (MPS, 1971) eine meiner liebsten Peterson-LPs ist: Gibt es noch weitere Solo Piano-Aufnahmen von ihm, die vergleichbar gut sind? Über die diversen Trio-Sachen mit Ray Brown hinaus, fehlt mir jegliche Übersicht.Ich glaube nicht – aber „Tracks“ ist in der Tat hervorragend! Muss mal genauer nachschauen, aber Peterson hat ja eh wenig solo aufgenommen.

Ich kenne sie nicht einzeln, hab die Box bisher am Stück oder wahllos gehört, kann daher nicht sagen, ob allenfalls die erste oder die ersten beiden veröffentlichten CDs auch reichen würden. Durham nervt etwas, aber ansonsten scheint das wohl in Peterson Spätwerk eine der besten Aufnahmen zu sein (ich habe allerdings schon in der Pablo-Zeit fast nur Lücken).--
