Hast Du die Tchicai (65), Borgmann (57/58) …? Da die Auflagen klein sind, wäre es vielleicht eine Überlegung wert, das Feld von hinten aufzurollen!

Recorded 13th September, 1986 at the Jazz Center of New York, 380 Lafayette Street, NYC.Yes, amazing performance. Ich besitze die CD erst seit kurzem. Sie erhält auch deutlich mehr Material als die LP. Eine tolle Anschaffung. Billy Bangs Violinspiel ist unglaublich, aber die gesamte Band swingt „wie die Hölle“.

Es sind ja inzwischen wieder ein paar neue Sachen erschienen und weitere angenkündigt. Die LPs vom Convergence Quartet und von Bobby Bradford müssen auf jeden Fall noch her, und in Sachen historische Releases verspricht auch das John Carter 2CD-Set so einiges!
