It’s easy to forget that it is, first and foremost, a movie. And as a movie, it happens to be a mess—long, loud, and full of seemingly contradictory ideas and plot threads.

Sie lebten in den sechziger Jahren in Greenwich Village, einem Viertel, das westlich vom Broadway liegt. Die MacDougal Street war das Zentrum der Aktivitäten. Hier befanden sich die wichtigsten Folkklubs wie das Café Wha?, wo Bob Dylan seinen ersten Auftritt hatte. An den Originalschauplätzen drehen die Coen-Brothers derzeit einen Film über das frühe Folk-Revival entlang der Autobiografie von Dave Van Ronk

Wim Wenders dreht gerade einen Architekturfilm mit neun weiteren Regisseuren, von denen jeder ein Gebäude in Europa portraitiert. Ursprünglich als Kunstfilm zur Biennale konzipiert, wird dieser Film nun fürs Fernsehen produziert. Michael Glawogger ist mit der russ. Nationalbibliothek in St. Petersburg dabei.
