Mein Lieblingssong von John Prine ist „Paradise“, veröffentlicht auf seinem selbstbetitelten 71er-Debütalbum auf Atlantic Records.
Wunderbarer Song über das Coal Strip Mining in Kentucky, verwoben mit seiner Familiengeschichte (seine Eltern stammten tatsächlich aus Paradise/Kentucky).

Wieso erst so spät, wenn ich fragen darf? Bei dir bin ich mir nämlich ziemlich sicher, dass du ihn schon viele Jahre kennst.

Mein Lieblingssong von John Prine ist „Paradise“, veröffentlicht auf seinem selbstbetitelten 71er-Debütalbum auf Atlantic Records.

Meiner auch, sogar mit riesigem Abstand, obwohl er viele tolle Songs geschrieben hat. „Paradise“ zähle ich aber generell zu meinen liebsten überhaupt. Kenne wenig, das mir derart ans Herz geht:
