Das liegt bei dir alles sehr dich zusammen. So liegen meines Erachtens die zeitlich sehr nahen Aufnahmen zu „Sun Ship“ und „First Meditation“ qualitativ weiter auseinander. Die strukturellen Ideen für „Meditations“ bringen das Quartett doch stark an seine Grenzen, so daß die Stücke in dieser ersten Form – gemessen an den sonstigen Qualitäten des Quartetts – eher durchschnittlich wirken.

als lostreten der spirituellen form oder aber auch als geschlossene einheiten betrachtet, sind mir die drei alben qualitativ nahezu gleichauf, die „meditations“ aber schließlich als höhe und endpunkt dieser improv-sessions am liebsten.
möglich, dass ich da natürlich etwas zu sehr befangen bin.
