Du hältst „The Dance Project“ also offenbar auch für das Schlechteste, was Du bislang von Taylor kennst? Überrascht mich nicht, das ist ein ganz komisches Werk. Eigentlich habe ich keine Lust, es mir ein weiteres Mal anzuhören.

Hörst du „Jazz Advance“ so stark?
Ich glaub von den ganz frühen Sessions (also bis vor Candid) find ich „Love for Sale“ und „Looking Ahead“ ziemlich eindeutig die spannendsten.
„The World of“ ist dann irgendwie der Höhepunkt des Prologs, mit „Neferiti“ geht’s dann richtig los! (Übrigens ist in der „Holy Ghost“ Box von Albert Ayler von diesen 1962er Aufnahmen ein längeres Stück enthalten, in dem dieser mit dem Lyons/Taylor/Murray-Trio spielt!)

Für die 70er würde ich wärmstens CT Unit oder „One Too Many…“ empfehlen, die sind meiner Meinung nach um einiges besser als „Dark…“ – Edwards ist nicht der geeignetste Drummer, Ware ist nicht wirklich nötig… finde die 1978er Band eine der besten überhaupt von Taylor!
