Der Nachfolger ihres Opus Magnum überzeugt immer noch, aber nicht über die volle Distanz. Gingen B&S die Ideen aus? Stuart lässt jedenfalls Isobel ihren klar besten Song singen („Wicked“), ebenso Stevie „Seymor Stein“. „Space Boy“ ist irgendwie auch nett, aber wer will das denn von mehrmals von B&S hören? „Dirty Dream #2“ ist dann aber sicherlich wieder ein Karrierhighlight, gehört sicherlich zu den 5-10 besten B&S Songs überhaupt. „Arab Strap“ besticht durch tolle Handclaps, auch wenn Mr Stuart schon sehr lustlos singt. „Chicfactor“ hat ne tolle Pianomelodie. „Simple Things“ klingt fast schon unheimlich, aber überzeugt nicht vollends (da steckt schon viel Tindersticks drin, deren Vorgruppe sie ja auch waren). „R-Ride“ ist ein netter aber nicht überragender Abschluss.

Eigentlich überzeugt die Platte über die volle Distanz, wenn ich aber etwas von den frühen B&S hören will, greif ich eher zu Sinister.

Hingehaucht zarte Vocals und schöne, dichte und melodische Songs, die aber den Schritt von gut zu großartig in den meisten Fällen für mich leider nicht machen.
Dennoch eine immer wieder gerne gehörte Platte.
