Zumal ein ziemlich langweiliger Track von Gaye (1965 war nicht grade sein bestes Jahr) sogar vor diesem rangiert.--

Stimmt, „Stop In The Name of Love“ hatte ich übersehen und auch gar nicht auf dem Schirm, weil ich fälschlich annahm, dass er bereits 1964 erschienen sei. :krank: :roll: Natürlich ein großartiger Track! Genauso wie „Nowhere To Run“ hätte er eine wesentlich höhere Platzierung verdient (vielleicht habe ich ihn auch wegen der schlechten Platzierung übersehen ;-))

@doc: Dass die Platzierungen teils stark abweichen werden, wusste ich schon als ich mit meiner Liste noch gar nicht begonnen hatte.
@tom: Dieser Jahrgang war im letzten Drittel ein ganz zähes Ding, ein Kommen und Gehen ohne rechte Begeisterung, weshalb ich überlegte, abzubrechen.
Die Hollies Singles waren chancenlos, die Walker Brothers mit „My Ship…“ auch, „Make It Easy …“ war dagegen in diesen Rängen lange dabei. Etwas Bewegung kam dann nochmal in die Liste als ich Minos (heute gelöschte) Faves bzw. Richtung gegenhörte. Ein „Heart Full Of Soul“ wurde es dadurch dann schon irgendwie, nur anders
Kann aber durchaus sein, dass sich da ein kleiner Wiederhören-Bonus eingeschlichen hat – also vielleicht beim nächsten Update dabei. Und klar: Die von Dir genannten Singles hätten die Top 50 wahrscheinlich mehr verdient als einige andere von mir platzierte …nur manche davon sind Herzenssache nach ganz eigener Art.@minos: So richtig schlechte Platzierungen gibt es in m/einer Fave Liste nicht.

Das wiederum finde ich doch durchaus gut.Und das ist m.E. auch der Sinn solcher Listen. Nicht die Nennung von „wichtigen“ Titeln der Musikgeschichte, die es „verdient“ hätten, sondern von solchen, die „einem ans Herz gehen“.
