Bei Skynyrd muss man den richtigen Spirit dieser Band einfangen. Das funktioniert am besten auf ihrem grandiosen Live-Album „One more from the road“. Ronnie van Zandt sagte damals auf die Frage, warum er immer barfuß auftrat: „We’re a Live-Band. I love to feel the stage burn.“ Ihr mitunter reaktionäres Redneck-Gehabe macht es nicht immer einfach.
