Zu „Kawaida“ hab ich noch einige interessante Info’s gefunden. Initiator des Albums war James Mtume, der Sohn von Jimmy Heath.
Das Album wurde in den Siebzigern wohl unter dem Namen von Herbie Hancock vertrieben.

Auch in der Jimmy Heath Autobiographie steht dazu etwas.

I was surrounded by these great composers like Herbie, but I was fortunate to have clarity about what I was shooting for. They opened their arms to me when I was just really starting out. I didn’t expect to do most of the writing, but Kuumba (Albert) said, „Here, you got it.“ Kuumba gets the credit for bringing Tayari (Jimmy) and me together on the album because it was Kuumba’s project…

Back then Tayari and I were starting to have musical discussions, and Tayari was starting to experiment with sound.
