Ellington muss aber raus – sind grossartige Aufnahmen, aber ein Album ist das beim besten Willen nicht!
das ist aber übel… „far east suite“ ist zwar auch nicht schlecht, kommt aber bei weitem nicht an den anfangs-40er-ellington ran… und eine best of jazz-liste ohne ellington finde ich auch nicht richtig… ich finde, da muss die definition etwas weiter gehen, aber da tobt eh schon eine diskussion…
