Neal Hefti hat der Band neuen Schwung gegeben.Die Columbia Box muss ich mir noch anhören.
Es gab/gibt ja drei Sets:
– Complete Roulette Studio Recordings
– Complete Roulette Live Recordings
– Complete Clef/Verve Studio Recordings
Die erste fehlt mir leider.
Alles sehr schöne Aufnahmen, das steht fest. Aber wenn ich für so eine Bestenliste das beste wählen muss, wähle ich Old Testament – schon nur wegen Lester Young!
