atomIch halte die Reprise Phase für Ellingtons schwächste und uninspirierendste Phase. Zum Glück gab es nach diesem „Tiefpunkt“ auch wieder bessere Einspielungen.
Einen Tiefpunkt würd ich’s wohl nicht grad nennen… aber ich kann jeder Phase von Ellingtons Werk einiges abgewinnen. Ich hab mir das Reprise-Mosaic geleistet, und so gebündelt fand ich die Musik insgesamt sogar ziemlich gut.
