Klanglich und von der Produktion her ein sehr kompromißloses Album: über weite Strecken kracht, quietscht und poltert es ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste.
Von den Songs und der Instrumentierung her sehr vielfältig: über Irisches, Bluegrass, seine typischen Rocker (teilweise sehr punkig gespielt à la Pogues) bis hin zu so wundervollen Balladen wie „Over Yonder (Jonathan’s Song)“.
Insgesamt tolles, energiegeladenes Roots-Album.
