guenterduddaDas gilt auch für Bob Dylan. Die Kids kennen meist nicht mal den Namen. In England ist das etwas anders. Für Genesis wurde hier ein großer Reklamefeldzug gestartet. Trotzdem kommt auch bei 5000 Leuten eine gute Stimmung auf. Irgendwann ist eh das letzte mal. Insofern ist ab jetzt jedes Who-Konzert eine Abschiedsveranstaltung für mich.
Ich mahne lediglich u. erinnere. Blindes Fantum hat noch niemanden glücklich gemacht. Selbst mich nicht.
Am Montag in Verona sah das so aus….
Waited for years (the last and only tour in Italy happened 30 years ago!!!), The Who in Italy was a real disaster. The Band entered the stage at 21:15 as scheduled, but after 25 minutes (at the end of Who Are You) an unexpected downpour hit Verona and the show was suspended for one hour. When the Band resumed to play with Behind Blue Eyes it was evident that Roger’s voice was gone, he became very nervous and wanted to leave the stage. After 20 minutes of Pete’s insistence the show started again with a largely (and shortened) setlist in order to reduce Roger’s vocals. The Band played another hour for a total of 16 songs (no encores), but it was painful to see Roger without voice obliged to renounce to a lot of vocals parts (the most evident The Real Me completely sung by Pete). What a pity … all The Who Italian fans were there, after years of travels to see the Band abroad this show doesn’t do them (us) justice … we can only hope for next tour.
