SOME NEWS FROM THE DUKES – 3RD AUGUST 2007
Good news – Today is our last day of mixing which means by tonight
our second album will be complete! Totally finished and dying to burst out
of a set of speakers.
Last week we made a dash back across to California to open the Orange
County Fair for Queens of The Stone age. 8,000 people in plastic chairs
drinking Bud Light was almost too scary, but we took the opportunity to destroy
that poor beverage gloom and throw out some brand new tunes anyway. What
a swell party it was – Queens and Eagles were perfect gents and put on phenomenal
shows of their own.
While we were over in Los Angeles we also recorded a couple of new songs ‘LASSOO’
& ‘THE STEP & THE WALK’ For the Henry Rollins T.V. show which we believe will be
aired in late August…more news to follow on that.
