soulpopePace-Setters „Push On Jesse Jackson“ (Kent) „fährt“ schon ordentlich :band: !!!

Toller Song, und das Kent Label kann man da auch nicht genug loben.
Angeblich mischt Bootsy Collins mit.

In the late-1960s there was a funk group called The Pacemakers. This group was formed by the talented Collins Brothers, Bootsy and Catfish. The Pacemakers were little-known outside of Cincinnati Ohio until 1969.

After his career with The Pacemakers, Bootsy Collins became an influential figure in music as one of the architects of the funk style. Being signed under the King label Bootsy and his brother eventually met with James Brown. After most of James Brown’s band quit over a pay dispute, The Pacemakers were hired in 1970’s as replacements. They formed the cornerstone of Brown’s new backup band, The J.B.’ and then later helped create the sound of Parliament Funkadelic.

The Pacemakers went through a few changes in the midst of that time and later became known as The PaceSetters.
