Ich halte ja die Columbia-Alben allgemein für eher unterbewertet, aber dass grad alle drei Favoriten von da kommen find ich doch erstaunlich!
Bei mir wären’s wohl:
– Monk & Coltrane at Carnegie Hall
– Brilliant Corners
– Solo 1954 (Vogue)
Aber ist schwierig, da drei herauszusuchen, da Monk mit Ausnahme einiger wechselhafter Blue Note und Prestige Sessions äusserst konstant war!
