Bevor jetzt die ersten aufschreien: Giant Sand habe ich tatsächlich im Frühjahr 89 durch drei Alben (Giant Songs, The Love Songs und Siant Gandwich) kennengelernt und deshalb ist mein Lieblingstitel drin.
ABBA spielten für ich in den 80ern keine Rolle, nach „The Album“ hatte meine heftige Liebe zu ABBA ein abruptes Ende, weil mich ganz andere Bands interessierten.
1984 lernte ich REM (Reckoning) kennen und das war der erste Schritt zurück zu einer gitarrenorientierten Musik, die bis dato für mich neu war. Alle Titel der Liste habe ich auch in den 80er gehört. Müßte ich die 80er aus der jetzigen Sicht posten, sähe sie ziemlich anders aus.
