Hoot Kloot was about a redneck sheriff, riding on his talking horse Fester (many sources incorrectly names the horse Confederate) and catching villians, most of the time, unsuccessful.
This may be a western version of INSPECTOR. However, what Hoot Kloot lacked what Inspector had was that „Hoot Kloot“ didn’t have many interesting villians. Villians Hoot Kloot usually fought were boring and uninterestering. One of the villians he fought was Crazywolf, a wolf who is as his name suggests. He only appeared in four shorts (Kloot’s Kounty, A Self-Winding Sidewinder, Pay Your Buffalo Bills, and Ten Miles to the Gallop) before they dropped him off.
