Marc Cohns zweite Platte „The rainy season“ hatte nicht mehr den gleichen kommerziellen Erfolg wie das Debut „Marc Cohn“ aus 1991, mit dem totgedudelten „Walking in Memphis“, ist aber dennoch, oder wegen des Fehlens radiotauglicher Stücke, eine wunderbare Scheibe, in sich sehr stimmig und ausgewogen.
„She´s becoming gold“ habe ich wegen der Background-vocals von David Crosby und Graham Nash ausgewählt.

M.C. hat vor kurzem einen bewaffneten Überfall auf seinen Tourbus überlebt, bei dem er durch einen Schuß an der Schläfe verletzt wurde. Noch in diesem Jahr soll sein viertes Album erscheinen.
