As part of TBL’s „Jimmy At 60“ celebrations – we are looking for input and feedback.
We would like you to list your personal favourite top 20 Page performances/tracks covering his entire career – Note that bootleg performances tracks CAN be included!
This would cover his 60’s sessions/The Yardbirds/Led Zeppelin /Arms tour/The Firm/Coverdale Page/the MTV Unledded album,Walking Into Clarksdale/Puff Daddy/Black Crowes live album etc.. So alongside the obvious Zep tracks take a look at his whole career to come up with 20 tracks which you think represent Jimmy at his best.
Alongside your choices can you also supply a short 200 words max summary of the reasons for your choices and how his music has inspired you.
Your selections will formulate a special „Jimmy Page-Simply The Best Top 60“ countdown to be revealed at the TBL meet on Jan 10 and subsequently on the site and in the mag.
So get rooting through his back catalogue over the next few days, soak up all that great music and collate your Top 20 Jimmy Page Simply The Best listing and e-mail it direct to davelewis.tbl@virgin.net .All contributions need to be received by Jan 5. I look forward to receiving them!
