at last the cd format. be warned the 7″ is already sold out. good shoes are from the same eel pie island community as the mystery jets and ’small town girl‘ is their debut single on young and lost club records. it’s a spiked, jangling and clean twin guitar pop number that owes as much to richard hell and the modern lovers as it does to the monochrome set. the minimal sound makes it sound like an obscure but perfect new wave gem from the 70’s. if the hook doesn’t get you on first listen, then i’ll be amazed. limited to 500 copies.

following on from the underground smash that was comenechi white heat records deliver their next release in the form of this limited edition 7″ from les incompetents. they deal in ramshackle scuzz-pop. one side takes the libertines down an almost country path whilst the flip is like a chaotic and messy version of orange juice. both tracks are equally essential. limited to just 500 of which we have a limited number this will go fast so get in quick!!!
