It's too hot in here.Ist zwar Ansichtssache, denke aber, wenn R.E.M. dann doch die als Album viel wichtigere „Automatic…“. Der Erfolg und die Wichtigkeit von „Out of Time“ basiert sehr, sehr stark auf einen einzigen Hit.

Bin nur etwas verwundert wieso ihre kommenden Gigs in Dtd. bereits Monate vor Tourbeginn komplett ausverkauft sind…. :roll: :roll:--

Sehe ich ähnlich. Und nach der Rückkehr von John Frusicante (oder wie der heisst) ging’s bergab. Wie schlecht war bitte der im Rockpalast gesendete Gig von 99?
96 hat die Band mit Dave Navarno noch absolut gebrannt! War ein Spitzen-Gig damals! „One hot minute“ fand ich auch recht gut!--

Zu den RHCP, die hier von manchen als schlechte Live-Band geoutet, bzw. denunziert werden: In diesem Thema geht es doch um was ganz anderes. Ich mag sie live auch nicht sonders: Sie verhunzen mir zu viele ihrer wertvollen Perlen. Live würde ich sie für viel € auch nicht anschauen.
Aber: Für die 90er ((um die es hier geht), haben sie 2 überragende Scheiben abgeliefert, die in jede gescheite Sammlung gehören:Blood sugar sex magic
Californication (noch ein wenig besser).IMHO zählen sie zu den wichtigsten Alben der 90er!!!
Ganz zu schweigen von ihrem Masterpiece: By the way“.
Davon aber wesentlich mehr ein andermal. Von mir aus als Drohung gemeint… :lol:
