Agressiv… das würd ich bei Blakey vielleicht so um 1964/65 herum vage hören – „Free for All“, „Indestructible“… sonst wär das eher, wie ich Philly Joe beschreiben würde.
Noch eine Antwort aufs Cobb-Bashing weiter oben: die guten Leute sollen sich mal die 1961er Aufnahmen mit Miles anhören, besonders die Live-Aufnahme aus der Carnegie Hall! Es gibt da nämlich Momente, in denen Cobb schon fast die Leichtigkeit und zugleich Dichte vorwegnimmt, die später Tony Williams im „second quintet“ perfektioniert hat!
