Aus der Gerüchteküche
Beim Durchstöbern eines alten Threads im Steve-Hoffman-Forum stieß ich auf folgende Info von Ende Juni 2013 eines Users, der sich glaubwürdig als Insider ausgibt, der in Kontakt zu Jeff Lynnes Umfeld steht. Ich glaube jedenfalls, was er hier zu CD-VÖ ab Ende 2013 bzw. 2014 sagt, macht durchaus Sinn. Deshalb stelle ich es hier ein, obwohl nichts offiziell bestätigt ist und es sich natürlich trotzdem um einen Wichtigtuer handeln könnte.
Here’s the deal with the new CD reissues released by Jeff Lynne/Electric Light Orchestra. There will be several more releases from Jeff and ELO between late 2013 and into 2014.
Jeff is finishing a new solo album of original material, which will be a follow-up to Long Wave. Also, Jeff has additional songs from the Mr. Blue Sky sessions which he will release as a second volume. Similarly, Jeff recorded numerous songs as part of the 2001 ELO Live Concert which were not released on the first volume. Although these discs will be released, Jeff is also compiling the release of a disc featuring unreleased studio tracks, some of which have turned up as bonus tracks. In total, this will give us a total of 4 new CD releases. There is no need for any of you to be upset about missing certain tracks, because they will be made available.
-New studio album (follow-up to Long Wave)
-Mr. Blue Sky II (Greatest Hits Part 2)
-ELO Live II (the songs not featured on the first live CD released in April 2013)
-Unreleased Studio Tracks
Nach dieser Info plant Jeff neben dem von „Long Wave“ beeinflussten neuen Album mit Originalen Teil 2 von „Mr Blue Sky“ und „ELO Live 2“. Besonders interessant ist der Hinweis auf eine CD-Kompilation mit unveröffentlichten Studiotracks.
