    Und insgesamt gebe ich *****
    Steht in meinen persönlichen Top Ten. Das Beste was U2 je gemacht haben, auch wenn ich mit der Meinung ziemlich alleine darstehen werde. Das Album ist rundherum stimmig, rauh, kfaftvoll, düster.

    Ähm, für mich das schwächste U2-Album (finde October beispielsweise deutlich besser). Muss es mir aber mal wieder ordentlich anhören….um die einzelnen Songs zu bewerten. Das Album wird sich bei mir aber bestimmt nicht mehr steigern. Im Moment sage ich mal gesamt: ***1/2

    Nicht unbedingt.
    Könnte zwar von „Achtung Baby“ Konkurrenz bekommen, aber an sich würde ich es auch als das beste U2-Album sehen.

    Bei mir geht die Silbermedaille an den Joshua Tree, Bronze an War. Naja, die Alben sind auch schon ca. 20 Jahre alt.

    Ein ehrenwertes Debut und auch marginal besser als der Nachfolger „October“. Die bisherigen Wertungen hier sind mir allerdings etwas zu dick aufgetragen. Die richtig großen Songs (für mich z.B. „Until the end of the world“, „Red hill mining town“, „Acrobat“ oder „One“) gelangen ihnen erst später.

    Moontear… Steht in meinen persönlichen Top Ten. Das Beste was U2 je gemacht haben, auch wenn ich mit der Meinung ziemlich alleine darstehen werde. Das Album ist rundherum stimmig, rauh, kraftvoll, düster.

    Selber liege ich recht nahe an Pipes Einschätzung. Ordentlich (***1/2), aber nicht in der internen TOP5.
