Läuft hier im Stream. Billy Strayhorn, der große Cue Porter, Oliver Jackson und ein paar andere (Harold Baker, Quentin Jackson, Al Hall, Russell Procope). Das kann man wohl ohne großen Zweifel auf die Wunschliste schreiben. Das Design ist übrigens von Gaye Ellington, die MJR-Serie ist überwiegend eine Reissue-Reihe.
Und (mindestens) auf dem Foto neben dem großen Billy Strayhorn der große Johnny Hodges! Von wann sind denn diese Aufnahmen?
Edit: Ach, ich lese gerade, dass „Cue Porter“ hier ein Pseudonym von Johnny Hodges ist, da er vertraglich an Verve gebunden war.
