Und in Sachen Jazzjahr 2024 gestern auch noch das hier gekriegt: Charles Tolliver Music Inc – Live at the Captain’s Cabin – lief nach Teil 2 des BFTs einfach mal am Stück durch und bereitete dabei viel Freude … andererseits hab ich wenig dagegenzuhalten, wenn jemand meint, das sei schon etwas einfach „more of the same“. Ich mag dieses „same“ sehr gerne und gar zu viel davon gibt es bei Tolliver ja doch nicht. Klang ist jedenfalls schwer in Ordnung, die Atmosphäre gut, die Band hat viel Drive …
