@thelonicaGenau, beide sehenswert. Die Don Byas Doku fand ich nicht ganz so gelungen, aber natürlich interessant (Don Byas trifft Louis Armstrong u.a. beim Newport Festival). Das Spätwerk von Don Byas kenne ich nur teilweise, spannend finde ich die Aufnahmen von 1963 aus dem Montmartre Jazzhus in Copenhagen.
Die Don Byas-Doku ist diese hier? Habe ich leider noch nicht gesehen.
Die beiden Webster-Dokus habe ich ja inzwischen gesehen. Erzähle ich vllt später mehr dazu.
Mit den Aufnahmen von 1963 in Kopenhagen meinst Du sicher diese hier: Anthropology. Die habe ich vor einer Weile als LP gebraucht geschossen. Habe ich noch nicht oft gehört. Erster Eindruck: Hört sich schon recht anders an als seine früheren Aufnahmen. Vielleicht später auch mehr dazu.
