V.A. – CALANAIS
The standing Stones of Calanais (Challanish) on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis are among the World’s great prehistoric monuments. Older than the pyramids, their inmmense age have made it impossible to do more than speculate on their origins and function. In modern times they have become a destination for travellers from around the globe.
