Ich bin einmal losgelaufen und habe mir die CD gekauft, noch bevor ich die gebrannte CD durchgehört hatte: das war Grace von Jeff Buckley. Im Februar 2002.
(Den The-Thorns-Matthew-Sweet kannte ich ja schon. The Thorns fand ich schön. Ob ich mich jetzt noch so für Pete Droge begeistern könnte, weiß ich nicht. Müsste Necktie Second wohl mal wieder hören. Der hatte mich so beeindruckt, dass ich zwar nicht sofort losgelaufen bin, um das Album zu kaufen, aber doch recht schnell. Nachtrag: Wohl doch nicht so schnell, denn es war Spacey and Shakin‘ aus dem Jahr 1998.)
Zwischen den Boo Radleys und Matthew Sweet liegen aber auch Welten, wollte ich schreiben, aber vielleicht stimmt das gar nicht: Initial responses to the record were mixed, with Rolling Stone writing that it had „inspiring moments; the problem is finding them.“ AllMusic agreed that the album is „all over the place“, yet noted that „it takes a bit of time for all of it to make sense, but after a few listens, it falls together.“ Wikipedia | Release Und schon kann ich etwas mehr damit anfangen. :) Ich glaube das war mir zu unruhig beim ersten Versuch. Der heutige Tag war nicht so wild. (Zweiter Versuch grad und bin schon beim 4. Song)
