Das Foto auf der Innenhülle sieht so aus. Geht doch:
125 Street Ecke Lenox Avenue. Das stand ich auch schon mal, aber nicht in den 1940ern. 
Übrigens eine ebenso unscheinbare wie unansehliche Kreuzung, die aber etwa das Zentrum von Harlem markiert und wo sich nicht nur zwei Straßen kreuzen.
