Chris Connor – Witchcraft | Richard Wess hat hier für verschiedene grosse Besetzungen arrangiert – mal gibt es knallige Big Band, mal zarte Streicher … das ist ganz nah dran am Lieblingsalbum, und einen grossartigen Alec Wilder-Song gibt es obendrein auch noch. Wess kann ich bisher überhaupt nicht einordnen, aber was er hier für Connor macht, ist wirklich super – bis in die Details (ein Triangel, ein paar Töne vom Xylophon …)
