Von Joe Bataan kenne ich eigentlich nur ein paar Stücke von Compilations, u.a. eben von Nu Yorica! Diese Compilation versammelt ein breites Spektrum von Musik mit Puerto-Ricanischen und Kubanischen Wurzeln in New York, von fast Folklore über Mambo von Machito und ange-jazztem bis eben zum Latin-Funk & Soul von Joe Bataan und Harlem River Drive.
