Auch wenn Blackmore zweifellos ein ziemlicher Egomane ist, habe ich ihn auf der Bühne nie als übermäßigen Poser wahrgenommen und auch kann ich sicher nicht behaupten, dass er nie songdienlich gespielt hat. Zudem würde ich Deep Purple allemal zugute halten, dass auch ihr Repertoire Facetten hatte. Und das war nicht nur auf die Besetzungswechsel zurückzuführen.
