Auf Twitter macht die Nachricht die Runde, dass Slide Hampton gestorben sei (21.04.1932–20.11.2021) – natürlich tauchen dazu auch diverse Fotos auf, so das unten mit der Hampton Family Band, die überall aufgetreten sei „from the Apollo to Carnegie Hall“:
